Mindfulness, developed by Dr. Mark William, Dr. Danny Penman, Dr. Zindel Segal and Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD. is a form of meditation which teaches attention training and relaxation skills followed by mental and emotional regulation. It puts our mind rather than our emotions in charge of our lives. Practised daily it calms the body and mind, improves health, decreases stress, anger, worry and emotional reactivity and enhances relationships.

Mindfulness has been shown to be an effective approach to treating
depression, anxiety, anger, stress, sleep difficulties and relationship difficulties, it increases resilience, prevents relapse, enhances creativity and helps with managing and relieving chronic pain.

Effects of Mindfulness Based Therapy

“I have a new and profound sense of acceptance – of myself, my circumstances, and of the world around me."

"I have a mental toughness that I didn’t have before, and I’m less reactive to stressful situations."

"Mindfulness saved me from burnout, I just wish I had discovered it a long time ago.”
